Learning & Development Business Partner - Bury St Edmunds

Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum + Benefits

Fleet Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a Training and Development Business Partner. Our client is a household name across the UK. Due to continued growth they are looking to increase their team.

The Role

To provide a full Training and Learning & Development consultancy service to management teams in 7 operational depots in Essex/East Anglia through expert knowledge, analysing development needs and creating effective performance action plans which align with strategy and achieve results.


Establish and develop effective relationships/partnerships within the organisation to proactively support and coach behavioural skills with high performers, low performers and for management development.

Key Responsibilities

  • To mentor, coach and develop different levels of management across depots in the geographical area

  • To analyse and identify training and development needs

  • Facilitate learning interventions via face-to-face workshops, or one-to-one

  • Carry out professional coaching and mentoring sessions with managers

  • Develop PDPs for managements to track development

  • To prepare and deliver management soft skills training

  • Monitor and evaluate ongoing training activities

  • Manage succession planning for each business unit

  • This is a regional role covering 7 depots - Chelmsford, Ipswich, Enfield, Dunstable, Peterborough, Raunds, Snetterton.

The Person

CIPD qualification in Learning & Development or equivalent

  • Proven experience in a training and development role

  • Has knowledge and experience working with popular L&D models

  • A seasoned trainer confident in delivering management training courses

  • Has impact and influence on others

  • Is confident and proactive in their approach

  • Can work independently under HRBP to manage the T&D function in the geographical area

  • Excellent communicator and ability to build relationships with all levels of management

  • Experience working with psychometric analysis tools is desirable

The Benefits

The role of Learning and Development Business Partner offers the following benefits for the appointed candidate.


  • Basic salary £40 – 44K per annum

  • Up to 15% bonus available

  • 22 days holiday + statutory

  • Pension 5%
