Sales Consultant 

Salary £30,000 plus uncapped commission (realistic year one OTE of £45 - £50,000)

Providing the most amazing solutions to schools throughout the UK, they have made a positive difference to tens of thousands of children, by supporting schools in their efforts to help pupils achieve excellent grades.

 

Genuine passion, that stems from their incredibly focused Managing Director and leadership team, is what drives this business, and their growth and success has been remarkable. 

 

There are more exciting products that they want to offer the education market in 2022, and we have been tasked with helping them to recruit a fantastic sales professional, to grow the team.

 

What’s on offer?   

 

  • A salary of £30,000
  • Excellent commission, based on achievable targets, that will see you earn circa £50,000 in your first year, and circa £70,000 by year three
  • 20 days holiday, which increases with time served (plus public holidays)

The Role

 

Your job is to generate sales in a geographic area, containing circa 3,000 primary and secondary schools.  A friendly and consultative approach is required, so we are are not looking for pushy salespeople.  We are looking for solution sellers, who find opportunities to fix problems through great fact finding and by demonstrating value and outcomes.

 

You will achieve your targets by ensuring:

 

  • You have a simple, but robust sales plan
  • You have a strategy and the right tactics to engage prospects and self generate appointments
  • You qualify opportunities properly 
  • You focus in the right areas, and prioritise the tasks that deliver your objective
  • You create personal brand awareness through social media
  • You demonstrate the product to school leaders in person and on Zoom/Teams
  • You work with teachers in support of a 4-week free pilot of the product
  • You demonstrate value 
  • You are confident asking for business

What are we are looking for in you?

 

Our most important requirement is that you are the sort of person who rolls up their sleeves and gets stuck in with a smile.  Somebody who gets things done and who is unafraid to put in the hard yards needed to achieve targets.

 

You must be a naturally focused and charismatic person who positively engages clients, partners and colleagues.  You need to work proactively and consultatively with customers to build long term relationships.

 

Ideal candidates would have a background in education sales, or business to business sales, but If you tick the boxes below we would love to hear from you: 

 

  • Drive, ambition, purpose and a moral compass
  • Bags of enthusiasm
  • Natural curiosity that makes you amazing at qualifying customer needs
  • Excellent communication, both over the phone and in writing
  • Discipline and planning – organised and great at managing time 
  • An active listener with the ability to empathise and qualify a client’s needs quickly and efficiently
  • A strong influencer with negotiating skills and able to sell a packaged solution
  • Proven sales experience, and performance, in a target driven position
