Technical Helpdesk Advisor - Teesside

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum

Fleet Recruitment have an exciting opportunity to work for a leading IT company based in the Teesside area.

Due to continued growth they are looking to employ a Technical Helpdesk Advisor.

As a Technical Helpdesk Operator, you will receive:

  • Salary 18-22K per annum

  • 20 days holiday + statutory

  • Basic pension scheme

  • Onsite parking

  • Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.30

This role is offering an immediate start for the right candidate.

The Role

The role is based from our clients’ office in Teesside and will involve working as part of a small team.

It will include some of the following duties:


  • Install and configure computer hardware, software operating systems and applications, systems, networks, printers, scanners and associated technologies.

  • Use and troubleshoot various version of outlook within a network environment, setting and altering permissions, calendar sharing and delegation, etc.

  • Set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.

  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults.

  • Support the roll‐out and implementation of new applications and technology.

  • Plan and undertake scheduled routine maintenance checks and upgrades.

  • Respond to breakdowns within agreed call out time scales, repairing equipment and replacing parts.

  • Obtain replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings in accordance with our clients’ internal quoting and purchasing procedures

  • Engage with administrative duties including maintaining records of hardware service tags and software licences, etc.

  • Manage stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies accordingly.

The Person

As a Technical Helpdesk Operator, you will have the following experience:

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Technical Helpdesk experience

  • Logical approach to problem solving

  • Good understanding of hardware, software and operating systems

  • Microsoft packages

  • Good knowledge of SAGE software
